Jason Schaaf gives Missouri State a steady right-handed arm with strike-throwing poise
Schaaf is a right-handed pitcher who has shown enough durability and command to take real innings for Missouri State, including a strong 2025 outing where he carried a shutout deep into the game before the Bears won behind him. His differentiators are strike-throwing, composure, and a starter’s feel rather than pure flash; earlier high-school tracking also showed a solid ERA and two-way athletic background. For a team that wants a competitive, low-drama arm who can keep games in range, he looks like a useful fit.
