a gritty Murray State guard who filled the box score with steals and impact plays
Gerraca Matthews was a senior guard for Murray State known for disruptive defense, quick hands, and timely transition play. In the 2004-05 season, she had games with 7 steals, 5 steals, and 13 points, showing a high-motor, playmaking style that could swing momentum fast. The strongest fit trait here is toughness: she didn’t just score, she pressured the ball, created turnovers, and brought energy that shows up in winning possessions. For a team needing a defensive spark and a fearless guard, she’s the kind of grinder coaches love.
