6-7 arm with early bullpen flashes at Northwestern State
Noah Spears is a freshman right-handed pitcher at Northwestern State in the 2026 season, and the early read is intriguing: he has already logged 1.2 innings with 2 strikeouts and no decisions, including a debut outing of 2⅓ shutout innings with a strikeout at Louisiana Tech. The 6-7, 220-pounder brings obvious downhill angle and size, and Northwestern State’s staff has described him as an athletic arm with the ability to help on the mound while also bringing value as a hitter/defender. Right now, he looks like a development bet with real upside if the command keeps growing.
