High-Intensity BYU LB with 19-Tackle UCLA Game and Elite Sack Dives
Butch Pau'u, a 6-0, 210-pound Outside Linebacker from Anaheim, CA, stands out for his explosive sack dives—like his 2026 dive on Arizona’s Anu—and a career-high 19 tackles against UCLA in the 2018 season, showcasing unmatched intensity and coverage range. Ranked No. 871 nationally by 247Sports, he was BYU’s 2018 Defensive MVP with 104 solo tackles, 1.5 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles, reflecting a relentless, no-flag personality that thrives in high-pressure moments. His injury history is clean, and his leadership (senior with 11-2 record) makes him a perfect fit for teams needing a data-driven, opinion-tested linebacker who brings both stats and swagger.
