Two-sport Mountaineer with real toughness, but still a developmental basketball piece
Aden Tagaloa-Nelson is more of a grinder-and-glue guy than a box-score star: in the 2024-25 season, he saw only one official game action for West Virginia, and his college basketball résumé remains extremely limited. The intrigue is the athlete, not the stat line—he’s a former high school multi-sport standout who brings physicality, competitiveness, and a team-first mindset shaped by football and basketball experience. If a roster wants depth, toughness, and a player who won’t flinch in practice, he fits; if it wants immediate on-court production, the answer is not yet.
