Freshman guard Marcos Gonzales is giving The Citadel efficient minutes and a nice little scoring punch
In the 2025-26 season, Marcos Gonzales has been a useful freshman guard for The Citadel, averaging 4.4 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 12.6 minutes per game while shooting 43.6% from the field and 61.9% at the line. He’s shown a quick-trigger, efficient scoring pop in flashes — including a 20-point outing on 6-of-7 shooting — and brings size for the position at 6-foot-3. The bigger draw is his steady growth, unselfish play, and strong academic profile, which suggest a high-floor, coachable backcourt fit.
