George Albrecht brings veteran grit to Utah Valley’s rotation, but command has been the swing skill
In the 2026 season, Albrecht has shown flashes of a useful midweek/right-side starter: he earned a first career start and logged a career-high 3.0 innings against Cal State San Bernardino, but the broader line shows a 10.31 ERA with 17 walks and 14 strikeouts in 18.1 innings, so the upside is tied to better strike-throwing and cleaner first pitches. He’s a senior with size (6'2", 248) and coaches clearly trusted him in meaningful conference spots, which says he has the arm talent and competitiveness to help if your staff can sharpen the control.
