former running back turned disruptive Spartan edge piece
Brandon Wright’s calling card is versatility and edge toughness: he converted from running back to defensive end in 2021 and has shown real impact with 44 career tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles in 42 games for Michigan State through the 2023 season. His value is in motor and experience more than flash—he’s a veteran, physical DL who has earned six career starts and brings a plug-and-play mentality for a defense that needs reliable, assignment-sound juice.
