SIUE’s Lyric Boone brings local-rooted frontcourt depth and upside
Lyric Boone, a 5'11" freshman forward from Rochester, Illinois, joined SIUE with the kind of homegrown, position-flexible presence that can quietly matter in a rotation[1]. She was listed on the Cougars’ 2017-18 roster and later appeared in SIUE’s all-time roster as a 2017-19 player with 28 career points, but the available public record is thin on recent college production, so the main appeal is profile and potential rather than a stat-stuffed résumé[1][2]. For a team looking for a hard-nosed, developmental forward with local ties and a low-drama fit, Boone checks the “interesting upside” box.
