Tall, Tackling CMU DB with Proven Hits but Coverage Concerns
At 6-1, 190 lbs, Central Michigan's Dishon McNary stands out as a physical cornerback who peaked with season-high six tackles in three 2021 games (vs. Ball State, at NIU, Eastern Michigan, Toledo), showcasing run support intensity after redshirting in 2019 and battling an October 2021 ankle injury. Scouting reports praise his size but flag differentiators like struggles breaking down in space, high-pad drops, poor backpedaling, and man coverage lapses—making him a developmental fit for teams needing versatile special teamers or nickel depth rather than elite shutdown corners. Why care? Battle-tested MAC tackler with upside if technique sharpens.
