poised, accurate QB with pro-level experience and UC Davis pedigree
Jake Maier is a UC Davis–trained quarterback whose calling card has been command and accuracy, and he’s since proven he can handle pro traffic with a long CFL résumé that includes 11,685 career passing yards and 60 touchdown passes from 2021–2025. He’s more of a steady distributor than a pure athlete, but his size, timing, and experience make him attractive to teams that value structure, quick processing, and calm under pressure. The key question isn’t talent—it’s fit: he’s best for an offense that wants efficient execution and veteran decision-making over off-script fireworks.
