Emerald Mayfield brings veteran-size, steady forward play to Northwestern State
Emerald Mayfield is a 5-foot-11 forward for Northwestern State whose profile is built on reliable interior effort and all-around steadiness rather than flashy scoring bursts. In the available career and ESPN stats, she has produced modest scoring and rebounding numbers, with ESPN listing her at 3.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, 0.8 assists, and 34.8% shooting, while Sports Reference shows a broader college career line of 5.1 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. What makes her interesting is the combo of size, experience, and a workmanlike fit: she looks like the kind of player who can plug gaps, defend, and keep possessions alive.
