transfer right-hander with high-upside appeal for Texas
Gavin King is a **right-handed pitcher** who earned a move from **Middle Tennessee State to Texas**, which signals Power Four-caliber traits and a profile worth betting on[2]. Publicly available sources here do not provide detailed 2026 pitch metrics or stat lines, so the clearest takeaway is that he is viewed as a **credible transfer arm** with enough upside to draw a major-program pickup[2]. His fit will likely hinge on whether his command and pitch quality translate against tougher SEC-level hitters, but the transfer itself suggests evaluators saw starter or impact-relief potential[2].
