Iowa’s high-IQ, do-everything linebacker
A physical, assignment-sure linebacker who earned his Iowa rep through versatility, leadership, and toughness—Niemann played both outside and middle linebacker, started as a true freshman, and finished his Hawkeye career with 201 tackles and 11 tackles in a breakout game at middle linebacker against Northwestern in 2017. His differentiators are football IQ, adaptability, and special-teams value, not just raw splash plays; he also landed in Iowa’s leadership group and was repeatedly praised for his intelligence and reliability. If you want a defender who gets the call right, fits a disciplined system, and brings dependable intensity, he’s your kind of guy.
