NAIA Scoring Sensation Turned D1 Spark Plug
Kelsey Thaxton, a two-time NAIA All-American from LSUA, exploded for 20.4 PPG and 39.6% from three in her standout career, holding records like 551 points and a 42-point game, before transferring to Northwestern State where she flashed upside with 11-point outbursts vs. #23 Oklahoma and Nicholls in 2022-23.[1] Her clutch intensity—dropping all 11 pts in five minutes—and sharpshooting differentiators make her a high-ceiling guard who thrives in big moments, perfect for teams needing a battle-tested scorer off the bench with no notable injury flags.
