Boise State DT Darren Koontz: a physical interior defender with proven production
Darren Koontz profiles as a sturdy Boise State defensive tackle with legitimate game-rep experience, including a six-tackle outing in 2012 that shows he can hold up in the trenches and finish plays. Boise State lists him at 6-foot-3, and his value is tied to size, interior toughness, and the ability to be disruptive against the run rather than flashy stat production. For a team needing a reliable, physical presence inside, he fits the mold of a blue-collar line piece who can battle every snap.
