Clemson’s do-it-all forward with touch, toughness, and a creator’s feel
Aamir Simms stood out at Clemson as a versatile frontcourt weapon, and in the 2020-21 season he earned Third-Team All-ACC honors while also winning the ACC’s Skip Prosser Award for top scholar-athlete. He was known for being more than a stat line: a strong, mobile forward who could score inside, handle a little, pass well for his size, and defend multiple spots, though some scouting notes flagged that he could be passive at times and wasn’t an elite rim protector. For a team wanting a smart, skilled, high-IQ big with leadership chops, he was a very appealing fit.
