Javeres Brent brings veteran guard savvy to Jackson State
Javeres Brent has been a steady backcourt piece for Jackson State, with career NCAA production of 6.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game while shooting 31.9% from the field and 32.0% from three.[1][2] In the 2022-23 Jackson State leaders data, he also showed floor-spacing value with a team-best 34.5% from deep in that context.[2] The appeal here is experience, positional size at 6-foot-3, and a guard profile that suggests he can survive physical SWAC play and bring adult-in-the-room composure, even if the shot-making has been inconsistent.[2][3]
