Forgotten CB Flash from EIU's 2008 Era
Shelton Penrow, a cornerback for Eastern Illinois Panthers in 2008, impressed early with 19 tackles and a fumble recovery in high school play against Hope HS, transitioning to college ball at FIU in 2005-2006 where he notched a solo tackle in his freshman debut versus Kansas State. No recent performance data post-2008 suggests he's no longer active, lacking the stats or buzz to stand out today—versatile defender with scout team grit, but without current production or rankings, he's not a fit for modern rosters chasing explosive CBs.
