James Bice gives McNeese a steady leg, but the current data trail is thin
James Bice is a place-kicker whose appeal is consistency and range: McNeese’s official bio notes he hit 8 field goals, with a long of 52 yards, and ESPN lists him as the Cowboys’ current place kicker. The challenge is context — there isn’t enough recent, reliable stat detail here to claim he’s a breakout 2026 weapon, so the best read is that he looks like a dependable special-teams piece rather than a headline-grabbing star. If your team wants a kicker with a documented leg and straightforward role fit, he’s worth a look.
