Craig Merkle brings bruising, all-around backfield value to Wagner
Craig Merkle is a physical, productive runner with proven durability and versatility: he was an all-time rushing leader at Nutley, then became an NJAC First Team All-Conference back at Montclair State in 2019 after rushing for 463 yards and 4 touchdowns while adding 24 catches. His profile suggests a compact, dependable RB who can handle contact, contribute in the passing game, and fit a team that wants a tough, experienced downhill option rather than just a straight-line speedster.
