Brian Cadieux is giving UAlbany a reliable redshirt-freshman right arm
In the 2026 season, Albany right-hander Brian Cadieux showed starter potential with 12 appearances, six starts, 37.1 innings, and 23 strikeouts, highlighted by a 5.0-inning shutout gem against NJIT and a 4.0-inning, no-run outing in a win over UMass[1][2][3]. He looks like a strike-throwing, compete-in-the-zone arm who can work through traffic and give a team innings, though his early season line included some bumpiness as he adjusted to Division I hitters[3][4].
