Ty Madison turned into SDSU’s October-level weapon in May
In the 2026 season, Ty Madison emerged as South Dakota State’s bullpen ace and postseason hammer, finishing the Summit League tournament as MVP after working 10 innings, allowing just one earned run, and helping the Jackrabbits win the title. He finished the tournament with 0.90 ERA and 5 strikeouts, and earlier in May he logged 32 innings across 11 relief appearances with a 2.25 ERA, 28 strikeouts, and only 3 walks. At 6-foot-2, 225 pounds, the senior right-hander brings power, poise, and “give-me-the-ball” intensity—exactly the kind of high-leverage arm a contender loves.
