Manny Smith gives NCCU a proven, physical playmaker in the secondary
In the 2024 season, Manny Smith was an All-MEAC Second Team defensive back for North Carolina Central, finishing with 62 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, a sack, four pass breakups, and two forced fumbles—production that points to a reliable, disruptive, and versatile defender[5]. He stands out for playing with an aggressive, high-contact style that shows up against both the run and the pass, making him more than just a coverage DB[5]. If your team wants a seasoned, all-around defensive back who can create turnovers and bring tone-setting intensity, Smith is a strong fit[1][5].
