Dontelius Ross brings veteran guard grit and academic polish to Jackson State
Dontelius Ross is a smaller, experienced Jackson State guard whose game has long leaned on steady ballhandling, activity on the glass, and defensive disruptive instincts; in the 2019-20 season, he was credited with 4.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game, and he also earned national academic recognition as an Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar finalist. He may not pop as a pure scorer, but his value is in toughness, feel, and doing the little stuff that keeps a team organized—exactly the kind of glue piece coaches love when they want reliability over flash.
