Cayden Sheffield is a clutch, contact-first corner outfielder for North Alabama
In the 2026 season, North Alabama redshirt freshman Cayden Sheffield hit .238 with 25 hits, 17 RBI, 5 doubles, 2 home runs, and 15 walks in 33 games, and he showed a knack for showing up in big moments with multiple RBI hits in conference and postseason play. He looks like a steady, competitive bat rather than a pure power guy: his value is in situational hitting, plate discipline, and timely run production. If a team wants an outfielder who can grind at-bats, stay composed, and deliver in pressure spots, Sheffield is worth a look.
