Dylan Archuleta is a high-upside Air Force freshman catcher with a defensive first flash
In the 2026 season, Dylan Archuleta appeared in one game for Air Force and made his collegiate debut against Utah Valley, where he caught a runner stealing—small sample, yes, but a clean early sign of defensive instincts behind the plate.[1][12] At 6-foot, 195 pounds and a right-handed hitter/thrower, he brings catcher size, athletic upside, and a proven winner’s background from Rio Rancho, where he earned first-team all-state honors and helped win a New Mexico 5A title.[1][2] He looks like a smart fit for a program that values toughness, discipline, and growth potential more than instant offensive fireworks.[1][2]
