Versatile Kicker Bouncing Between Programs, Now Lighting It Up for Alcorn State in 2026
Mason Caldwell, a battle-tested 5-9 kicker/punter with stints at McNeese (2021 Spring holder in all 7 games), UAM (2019), and now Alcorn State (2022 roster, active 2026 stats on ESPN), stands out for his reliability under pressure and multi-tool special teams prowess—perfect for teams needing a clutch holder who doesn't flinch in high-stakes SWAC battles. No major injury flags, but his journeyman path highlights gritty adaptability and football IQ; scout buzz praises his precision touch, making him a low-risk, high-reward fit for squads prioritizing special teams edge over raw leg power.
