Ryan Fordham brings old-school toughness to Samford's backfield
Ryan Fordham is a physical, team-first blocker whose calling card has long been reliability, discipline, and a “make the play” mentality—Samford described him as a hard worker who “makes tackle after tackle after tackle” and plays a well-disciplined brand of football[1]. He also earned first-team All-Metro and All-County honors in high school while leading Oak Mountain with 117 tackles as a senior, a sign of the motor and toughness that make him a fit for a run-heavy, detail-oriented role[1].
