Zeion Simpson-Smith is a disruptive young interior rusher with real upside at Middle Tennessee
In the 2025 season, Zeion Simpson-Smith earned CUSA All-Freshman Team honors and flashed impact-play juice from the DT spot, finishing with 21 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery in all 12 games. He looks like a classic college football problem-solver inside: compact, active, and productive, with enough burst to threaten the pocket and enough motor to keep working through blocks. For a team needing an energetic, ascending interior defender, he’s a legit fit with room to grow.
