Darrius Garrett built his Richmond identity on elite rim protection and shot-blocking instincts
Garrett’s calling card at Richmond was game-changing defense: he finished his college career as the Spiders’ all-time blocks leader with 231, and his 107 blocks as a senior set the school single-season record. That makes him the kind of F/C who can anchor the paint, erase mistakes, and swing momentum without needing touches on offense. His value is strongest for teams needing interior defense, timing, and toughness; the main caveat is that the public sources here describe his Richmond playing profile historically, not a current 2026 college season role.
