a Stockton guard with San Jose State roots
Laretha Griffin is listed as a guard from Stockton, California, and San Jose State’s records show her on the Spartans’ women’s basketball roster, but publicly available stat detail on her current impact is extremely limited. The clearest takeaway is profile over production: a smaller guard with local ties who fits the kind of scrappy, value-added backcourt piece coaches often like for toughness, pace, and defensive energy rather than headline numbers. If you’re looking for a fully verified current-form read, the public data trail is thin; if you want a developmental guard with familiarity and edge, she’s the kind of name worth watching.
