Virginia’s tough, walk-on-to-starter forward who outplays expectations
Sherrill’s value is built on grit, reliability, and a blue-collar edge: Virginia’s feature on him highlighted that he played through a fractured leg, and team coverage plus career stats show a role player whose impact comes more from toughness and willingness than flashy numbers. ESPN lists him as a forward with career production of 2.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 0.4 assists per game, which suggests a low-usage, energy-first fit rather than a high-usage scorer. He’s the kind of player coaches trust for effort, physicality, and buy-in.
