R.J. Coles brings proven ball production and steady run support to Norfolk State's secondary
In the 2023 season, R.J. Coles started all 11 games at strong safety for Norfolk State and finished second on the team with 56 total tackles, while also adding two interceptions, two pass breakups, and a fumble recovery[1]. That profile points to a reliable, active defensive back who can tackle, close on the ball, and create turnovers—traits that matter if you want a safety who can help both against the run and in coverage[1].
