Derek Delaney Jr. gives Campbell a proven playmaker at DB
Derek Delaney Jr. stands out as a ball-hawking, disruptive defensive back for Campbell, coming off a 2023 season in which he set a school record for the longest interception return while posting 40 tackles, 3 interceptions, 9 passes defended, and 2 tackles for loss. His value goes beyond the box score: the interception production and pass breakups point to strong instincts, good route recognition, and reliable coverage awareness, which makes him attractive for a team needing a defender who can create turnovers and stabilize the back end.
