Broderick Harrell brings veteran secondary savvy and reliable tackling to Portland State
Harrell is a seasoned defensive back who gives Portland State a steady, experienced presence in the secondary, with a track record of staying around the ball and piling up tackles. In 2022, Portland State cited him as a veteran leader in the defensive backfield, and he had 52 total tackles that season, showing he can be trusted as an active run supporter and open-field finisher. His value goes beyond numbers: he arrived with FBS transfer experience, overcame a medical redshirt year at UTEP after an ankle injury, and was already viewed as a good athlete with lots of experience.
