Virginia’s steady, veteran tackle with a blue-collar resume
Derek Devine is a veteran Virginia offensive tackle whose value is rooted in durability, assignment-sound play, and team-first reliability rather than eye-popping box-score numbers; he was a three-star recruit, has earned ACC academic honors, and was recognized on Virginia’s 2024 NFF Hampshire Honor Society list. His profile suggests a dependable, mature lineman who brings experience, intelligence, and special-teams grit—useful traits for a program that wants a low-maintenance, high-accountability piece in the trenches.
