JT Smith is A&T’s bruising, versatile veteran back with a chance to be the tone-setter in 2026
JT Smith looks like a useful fit for North Carolina A&T because he brings power, experience, and a little sneaky versatility: the 2025 season showed he can handle a real workload, and A&T’s roster notes say he can win tough yards inside while still creating occasional splash plays. In 2024 at Wofford, he played 11 games, rushed 74 times for 283 yards, and added 24 catches for 192 yards, which hints at a back who can stay on the field in multiple roles. The big question is whether he turns that steady profile into more consistent production in 2026.
