Geoff Stanford brings blue-collar linebacker depth and high-energy grit to Missouri State
Geoff Stanford’s profile reads like a coach’s comfort blanket: a high-energy, depth-building linebacker who was described by Missouri State as a quick, defensive specialist with the kind of burst and reliability that fits a rotation well. In his earlier Missouri State career, he was an all-state linebacker at East High in Wichita and a three-year starter, which hints at instinct, toughness, and a solid football baseline. He looks like a fit for teams that value effort, speed, and special-teams usefulness over flashy stat-padding.
