6'2" Icelandic center brings veteran size and interior presence to UTRGV
Maria Ben Erlingsdottir is a 6'2" center from Iceland whose calling card is straightforward: size, experience, and a true interior role for UT Rio Grande Valley.[2][3] Publicly available roster and FIBA profile data identify her as a seasoned post player, but current season-by-season performance details are sparse in the sources here, so the safest read is that her value comes from rim protection, rebounding, and physicality inside rather than high-usage scoring.[2][3][4] If your team needs a dependable paint anchor with international experience, she is a logical fit.
