Derek Walters is a Cyclones RB to watch for physicality and depth value
Derek Walters is listed on Iowa State’s football roster as a running back, but publicly available team materials do not show recent game statistics, so his current performance is harder to measure than many peers. What stands out is the *fit* profile: Iowa State has repeatedly emphasized roster depth and development, which makes a player like Walters relevant if he brings toughness, reliability in practice, and special-teams value. If you are looking for a proven headline producer, the public data is thin; if you want a developmental back who could fit a physical, detail-oriented program, he is a reasonable name to monitor.
