Austin Nunez brought steady backcourt creation and veteran polish to UTSA
Austin Nunez’s 2025-26 season at UTSA was his most productive yet: in 22 games, he started 21 and averaged 9.8 points, 2.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.1 steals while shooting 88.5% at the free-throw line. He’s a 6-foot-2, left-handed guard who can run an offense, get to the line, and bring grown-man experience after bouncing through multiple high-major stops. The caution flag is the ankle injury that cost him the back end of the season, but when healthy he looked like a tough, reliable lead guard with legit confidence and no shortage of competitive edge.
