Pickett arrived at North Dakota State as a versatile Milwaukee defensive back/linebacker with strong athletic background and two-way impact in high school, but his college production has been extremely limited so far. In 2024, he appeared in one game and recorded no tackles, and ESPN listed him as an active freshman linebacker at 6'1", 197 pounds. The upside is obvious: multi-position experience, captain pedigree, and the kind of toughness NDSU usually loves. The big caveat is off-field history and a very small football résumé, so he fits only if a program is comfortable with developmental risk.
