Brian Williams brings veteran size and preseason All-SWAC recognition to Southern’s offensive line
In the 2022 season, Southern listed Brian Williams as a 6-foot-4, 315-pound redshirt senior offensive lineman and named him to the preseason All-SWAC second team, which is a strong clue that he’s viewed as one of the Jaguars’ steadier trench pieces[2][8]. He stands out for classic tackle traits—mass, experience, and lineup value—rather than flashy stats, and those are exactly the kinds of attributes that help a team anchor pass protection and run-game physicality[1][2]. If you need a plug-and-play veteran who can handle grown-man football and keep the offense on schedule, Williams is the kind of fit that makes scouts nod approvingly.
