From Huskies Star to NBA Playoff Breakout Enforcer
Jaden McDaniels, the athletic Washington Huskies forward who terrorized college defenses with his elite shot-blocking and two-way versatility during his 2019-20 freshman season (10.5 PPG, 5.7 RPG, 2.1 BPG), has evolved into a cornerstone for the Minnesota Timberwolves. In the 2025-26 regular season, he averaged 14.8 PPG, 4.2 RPG, and 2.7 APG on 51.5% FG (63rd in scoring), exploding in the 2026 playoffs to 17.6 PPG, 6.6 RPG on 49.5% shooting. His lockdown perimeter D, relentless intensity, and growing offensive confidence make him a perfect 3-and-D fit for contending teams—why care? He's the ultimate glue guy thriving under pressure.
