Portland State S John Schumacher: Under-the-radar defensive depth with roster value to watch
John Schumacher is a Portland State safety who appears to be more of a developmental or depth piece than a headline stat leader right now, but that can still matter on a defense built on physicality and special-teams reliability. Publicly available search results do not provide recent stat production or detailed scouting notes, so the best read is that he offers roster flexibility, positional coverage, and a chance to earn snaps through consistency rather than flash. If your team values dependable, coachable defensive backs who can grow into a role, Schumacher is worth a closer look.
