Dontae Caldwell brings steady two-way guard play for Maryland Eastern Shore
Caldwell is a **6'5" guard** whose value comes from size, rebounding, and a steady all-around game rather than high-volume scoring; in the 2025-26 season he averaged **5.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 0.8 assists** across 23 games while shooting **39.4%** from the field.[2] UMES has also listed him as a player who can chip in on the glass and in short stretches provide a double-double type impact, which suggests a physical, versatile fit for lineups that need perimeter toughness and secondary production.[7]
