veteran Arizona corner with proven ball skills and leadership
Barnes profiles as a competitive, high-IQ cornerback whose best calling card is playmaking—his high school résumé included 28 passes defended and strong all-around production, while Arizona listed him as a two-time all-conference selection and three-time team captain, a nice sign of toughness and reliability[1][6]. He matters because those leadership traits usually translate into sticky coverage, confidence in man situations, and a player who can stabilize a secondary even when the box score is quiet[6].
