Asante Griffin brings Alcorn State a big-play name, but the 2025 stat sheet is still thin
Griffin is listed as a wide receiver for Alcorn State, but the available 2025 team stat leader data shows very limited production tied to an E. Griffin entry, with 4 catches for 70 yards and no touchdowns, so the on-field résumé is still more projection than proof. His fit hinges on upside: if he’s a vertical threat or field-stretcher, that speed element can matter even before the box score catches up. For a team shopping for a polished, proven WR1, the current tape-and-production picture is not yet screaming “plug-and-play.”
