Freshman arm with real-leverage upside for Merrimack
MacKenzie Paulin entered the 2026 season as a freshman pitcher for Merrimack and quickly earned trust in the circle, including a six-inning start against Mount St. Mary’s in which she allowed just two hits and two earned runs, plus her first collegiate save earlier in March. Her 2026 line shows a workhorse-in-training profile with 12 appearances, 35.1 innings, 47 hits, 40 runs, and 12 strikeouts, which suggests she’s still learning the jump to Division I but already has poise in pressure spots. For a staff, she looks like a competitive, early-innings contributor with room to grow.
